New dasher? 4111.24 kHz 1325 UTC 4 Jan 2017
« on: January 04, 2017, 1326 UTC »
I am hearing what sounds like a dasher, carrier frequency 4111.24 kHz. Very weak, just above the noise floor. Something to listen for. And to watch for - I can see faint dashes on the waterfall.

From the waterfall, the period is 2.06 seconds, with an on time of 0.5 seconds.

Heard again 5 Jan 2017 at 1304z, a little stronger than yesterday.

Now I need to come up with a name for this one  ;D

Well that was interesting. Just before 1307, the dashes got longer, much longer, perhaps a second or more? Now it seems back to the regular length.

I am hearing this again at 1225z on 10 Jan 2017. Definitely sounds like a dasher, and looks like one on the waterfall.
