UNID DGPS 325 kHz 200 Baud 19-20 Jan 2017
« on: January 20, 2017, 1549 UTC »
When I looked at the SDR waterfall this morning, I noticed an apparent DGPS station on 325 kHz. Checking the UNID window, I could see it was sending ID 000. I assume this is the return of a test transmitter. Got quite a few decodes, several hundred over the span of just a few hours.

This brings up (again) the issue that the way Amalgamated DGPS works, there's no easy way to find new stations that aren't in the defined station list.

I believe it was there most of the night. I think I see it now on the waterfall. Yes, it is showing up on the UNID window.

Its not making it up here now (21 Jan 2017 UTC 0155).

Tried on the AFE822x with Bonito Boni-Whip and 43' Wellbrook ALA100LN loop (E-W) with phasing, as well as took a close look at the Perseus with a Wellbrook ALA1530S+.

The Perseus definitely is not getting it.

The AFE822x has something on 325, but looks more like a carrier or QRM. Far too narrow for DGPS.

I added it to my ADGPS database, and found these decodes last night:

Count    ID   ref1 ref2 kHz   Baud City
229      685  000  000  325.0 200  UNID000-200

The first was 2254z, the last was 1221z this morning.
