At what times are you receiving the west coast stations? Also Azores and Madeira?
Not sure if I can pick them up on my antenna but maybe at certain times I'll have some luck.

Azores and Madeira usually appear in the 0000-0300 time period.
The west coast stations are usually after that, and all the way until my local sunrise, 1200z or so.
