All in English, using PL-600 with just whip antenna.  Top (sixth) floor of apartment building on Calle Marina in Barcelona, .5 mile from Sea. (Did not seek out US broadcasters)

1905z Voice of Korea 7570 am very good reception  - music
1908z Voice of Vietnam 7280 am very good reception - YL talking about South Korean Government happenings, Station ID
1911z Radio Thailand 9390 am excellent reception - OM talking about established punishment for crimes, North Korea
1916z AIR 7550 am excellent reception - YL talking about advances women have made
1919z Radio Pilipinas 9925z fair reception, noisy -  YL with series of news
1922z VOIRI 6040 am Station ID, broadcast times by YL, website, into music
1928z Voice of Nigeria 7255 am good reception - music
1930z BBC 7445 am good reception news (including South Korean matters, D.C. happenings, spying) by YL

You ought to give the Greek MW guys a try above 1600. There's nothing but salt water and the narrow Italian peninsula between you and them.

Thanks for the tip, picking something up on 1603 (time pips at 2000z then YL) but noisy - don't think it's Spanish.  Also, less clear reception of something on 1620.  I really appreciate the tip.   8)!

I'm really stunned how CRI blankets this region.  You can pick it up virtually 24 hours a day in English plus a dozen other languages.  Far more coverage than in US.
