Just stumbled across this, probably the best pirate signal I've heard so far here on the Alabama gulf coast.  Signals's only S8 but is surprisingly crisp and clear.  A little bit of fading, otherwise steady.  Nice!

Seems like most listeners had them fade up but I heard them up to 02:45 UTC.  When the DJ was talking (all very brief, and kind of distorted to me), I had trouble understanding anything he said, and I didn't hear anything like "WHYP".  Can anyone point out when he ID'd?  I taped him from 01:12 to 02:45 UTC.  73, Walt in Victoria, BC

0111- very weak signal with unid music
0115- WHYP ID
0118- rock tune OM vocals
0130- WHYP ID
0145- unid rock music

I heard two IDs at 0115 and 0130 UTC Walt. The OM voice gives the ID as "WHYP WHYP North East" or something similar to that by the way.

I copied definite WHYP ID's at 0123 and 0130. When it came back up at around 0230, I didn't hear any more ID's but the OM voice that I did hear sounded like the same one.
