AK and HI sounds like a win to me.

These brief openings are amazing. I have noticed similar things on HF, when going through the SDR recordings on 43 meters. Sometimes I pirate signal will pop up significantly in strength for a few minutes. This happened many times when Radio Pirana was on the air recently, sometimes to SIO 444. Which is amazing for a tens of watts AM transmitter from South America.  I would have said the Much like DGPS, those transmissions convinced me that I know far less about propagation than I think I do.

I just looked up R Pirana's logs on 6930 from S Africa?!?! That's.... interesting.

Goes further to show how much more about propagation we have to learn. We know a lot, but absolutely not everything. There are the oddballs that must be explained.
