Now I don't feel so bad. I need a relatively storm free night (yeah, in July, good luck with that) to see if the band pass filter improves decodes.

Actually I need to run two SDRs at the same time, one with the filtered output and one without.

Actually, I would need to first characterize the two SDRs to make sure they behave the same, with the same antenna input.

I may just assume the filter helps  ;D

This is science! Questions are meant to be answered.

Have you noticed if your 10 MHz reference hooked up to the SDR helps with decodes?

I don't record DGPS on the netSDR with the reference, although that would be an interesting experiment (with and without the reference). I am not sure what the actual frequency accuracy of a typical DGPS transmitter is, probably pretty good. I know the AFEDRI drifts a few Hz over time. Right now it reads 10 MHz WWV low by 8.6 Hz. But once you get down to the DGPS band that becomes negligible, 0.258 Hz at 300 kHz. That's the frequency error due to the sample rate error, you also have the data bits getting skewed over time, although that should be very negligible unless you have a horrific SDR, like an RTL dongle.
