Tuned over to RNZI after the CNR jammer overwhelmed Radio Taiwan Int'l at 7445 at 1200z, and am surprised at how well it's coming in, S9+10 with minor fades to S9. It's supposed to be on its NW Pacific/Papua New Guinea beam at this time, and although I'm west enough to still get it at this time, it's usually a poor or at best fair copy.

Yes, I just read that. Interesting. When I logged it yesterday I thought it was unusually strong.

On the 28th, there was a schedule change, in that their 0500-0700 leg of broadcast was switched from 9700 to 9730 kHz AM. I'm usually up around that time, had noticed it wasn't on 9700, went to the website (because mid-season changes like this are common for RNZI) and saw that it was just moved down a bit.* But there's nothing about the 1100-1300 leg remaining on its NE beam - it definitely says it should still switch to the NW then. But I have to wonder if this is an intentional change, given the timing.

* It's also interesting that they'd change frequencies by just a few kHz. Most of their midseason changes take them to different broadcast bands. I would guess they were QRM'ing someone, but looking at the eibi schedule, I can't imagine whom.
