UNID pirate radio station 6900 kHz AM 12 Oct 2017
Date: October 12th, 2017
Time: 1620 UTC - 1720 UTC
Frequency: 6900 kHz 6.900 MHz 6.9 MHz
Mode: AM

Carrier popped up on 6900 kHz, hearing faint electronic dance music/trance music on frequency (very low level modulation at the moment).  Listening via Ohio and New York SDRs.  There seems to be a weak carrier on 6900.1 kHz that fades in and out, possibly a spur?  Whatever it is, it doesn't affect listening to the station on 6900.0 kHz.

1622 UTC - signal level now S4-S5 with 4-5 kHz wide AM audio modulation.
1624 UTC - some fades, bouncing between S3 and S4
1626 UTC - big fade (1-2 seconds) then back up to previous levels with hard trance music (no vocals heard yet)
1628 UTC - OM vocals heard now
1631 UTC - audio cut out suddenly
1632 UTC - audio back
1633 UTC - DJ Dean - Play It Hard (remix)
1638 UTC - OM vocals with lots of echo and pitch shifting, old school trance/hard trance
1641 UTC - still sounds undermodulated, YL vocals now
1644 UTC - some fading, sounded really good on a peak for 10 seconds or so with better modulation
1645 UTC - faded down to S2, then back up to S4
1647 UTC - DJ Tiesto track
1701 UTC - still going past the 1700z hour mark, signal up and down
1704 UTC - somewhat better signal on NY SDR (was listening on NJ SDR) with stronger modulation
1707 UTC - "this is the song of E" / "this is the song of ecstasy" OM vocals
1710 UTC - S3 signal with some fades down into the noise, carrier strong but modulation still not very good
1711 UTC - QRM from data signal (possible ALE sounding databurst) on 6890 kHz
1719 UTC - signal increased a bit
1720 UTC - suddenly off
