Yeah Man Radio 6925.6 kHz
shortwave pirate station log 29-OCT-2017
Frequency: 6925.6 kHz - see notes below regarding (very) slight carrier frequency drift, likely due to transmitter warm-up
Mode: AM

2019 UTC - tune in time, have carrier on 6925.59 kHz or 6925.6 kHz with jazzy music S5 signal
2020 UTC - carrier appears to have drifted down to 6925.57 kHz
2022 UTC - transmitter is warming up, carrier drift continued down to 6925.56 kHz but appears to be stabilizing
2023 UTC - jazzy tunes continue, seems like the LSB has more modulation on it vs. USB, could be selective fading
2024 UTC - hearing OM talking over faint music, carrier appears to be moving with his voice (FMing)
2025 UTC - "thanks for checking in on the HFUnderground" "of course the famous Skipmuck"
2025 UTC - shoutout to Chris Smolinski "also known as El Squid" and refmo shoutout
2026 UTC - back to music
2028 UTC - signal still at S5 but modulation is stronger, sounding good with a little noise and very little QSB
2031 UTC - slight fade down to S3 but still decent copy, noise has gotten a bit stronger over the past 2 minutes or so
2032 UTC - fade back up to previous levels, very slow and long fades, still sounding good.  thanks for the show!
2035 UTC - hearing the first telltale sounds of Portuguese pescadore QRM on 6925 kHz LSB
2038 UTC - thanks for the shoutout! I try and post as detailed logs as I can :D  keep up the broadcasts Yeah Man!
2043 UTC - another jazzy tune, now a solid S5 signal with brief peaks to S6
2058 UTC - Yeah Man Radio ID, talk about Halloween broadcasts, DJ talk
2100 UTC - off the air

Hearing some jazzy music here now, @ 2025 UTC, 6925 AM.
Using a beat-up RadioShack DX-390 (w/ blown transistors) ATM, random wire clipped to whip.
SIO 343

PSE QSL: ndbdxr@yahoo.com

Cool! Just gave out a P.O. box! I hope more pirates do that (esp. this weekend!)
@ 2037 was able to hear the host, and shout-out to: Andrew Yoder, this Site, and talk about DXer's getting their stuff ready for this weekend 🎃
More jazzy music...
Awesome! I just got a shoutout re: my post here, and the old DX-390 I'm currently using 😀 Kool.
The fade-ins sound stronger now, since ~ 2048 UTC. The fade-ins are also lasting a bit longer.
I'm glad I happen to have multiple receivers & antennas ready for this weekend 👍💀
