Wolverine Radio 6925U marathon
« on: November 02, 2010, 0836 UTC »
Other logs indicate Wolverine ran two or three hours but the fickle finger of propagation didn't favor me tonight.  Jussst barely heard the Wolverine Radio ID around 0421z and the follow up SSTV's were too faint to copy here.  Signal improved significantly by 0530z.

0457z: Sounds like Joni Mitchell, can't tell for sure.
0507z: Ricky Lee Jones singing about Chuck E Cheese Pizza Parlor or Choke Chucky Doll or sumpin'
0510z: Love is kinda crazy with a sporky little spoon like u
0513z: Heat Wave... frizzin' up my perm
0517z: Steely Dan "Black Cow"... that's a good name for the chocolate chunk cookies I baked tonight.  (Still unusually faint here tonight... Wolverine usually blasts in but no luck tonight)
0534z: Big signal jump for a minute during B-52's "Roam", then faded again.
0538z: Loud Wolverine Radio ID, "It's A Shame" started out strong, then faded.
0541z: 40K Headmen, not sure if Traffic or Dave Mason version.
0545z: Wangchung Fu "2 Liv 'n' Die in LOL"
0553z: I'm just guessing here, sounded like It's A Beautiful Day "Hot Summer Day"?  Haven't heard that one since high school.
0555z: Jef Airplane version of "Wooden Ships" (and what sounded like Windows doink! in background!)
0601z: BBoys - Sail On, Sailor
0608z: SSTV of zee wild wolverine - a little noisy but first SSTV signal that triggered MMSSTV tonight

Also heard some rare live-on-mic comments from Wolverine but, alas, my signal was too faint to copy much.  I'll have to beg for a recording from WEAK who apparently got excellent copy of this show.

20 minute mp3 from around 0555z on: http://www.mediafire.com/file/vw30wd6f6r1934m/Wolverine-Radio_6925U_11-2-10_0500-0600z.mp3

Heard also in Michigan during this time with a weak signal.  Wolverine usually comes in strong here but they were fairly weak during this broadcast.  I also heard the live comments between songs, but I couldn't tell if this was from another op since the audio was very faint.  The signal peaked slightly for this SSTV capture at the end of the show:
