Radio Rebelde 670 kHz Cuba 0205 UTC 02 Jan 2018

Hearing Cuban music under talk station WSCR from Chicago. The station gave an ID of Radio something, but I couldn't make out the second word. Its // with 5025, so its Radio Rebelde. First time I've got them up here on this frequency.

When WSCR fades out and R Rebelde comes in, the signal is decent, but doesn't last long. When they fade down and WSCR fades in, can still hear the music.

Perseus SDR with Wellbrook ALA-1530S+ loop antenna.

I'm well to the south and east of you. It owns the frequency from dusk to well after daylight. I can get about an hour of WSCR in and out in the late afternoon before the Cuban starts rolling in to stay.

Its a rare one here due to WSCR. I find it interesting only for the DX catch, but since the programming is the same as on 5025, I can just go over there if I want to listen.

WSCR stayed on until roughly before 0:30 tonight w/ a good signal when the Cuban started rolling in over it.  For this time of year that's got to be a record.

I had another domestic in the mud below WSCR. Just from experience and signal characteristics my guess is it's coming from the Mid-Atlantic or the Northeast.

The Chicago station usually dominates 670 here day and night but was able to null it out last evening using a CCrane TCA and the Cuban was there.
