Radio Clube do Para 4885 am 0845 utc 11 May 2018

0845z Fair reception.  I think I need some help on this one.  For the last three mornings I have been picking up a station on 4885, programming is loud OM in almost barking cadence in Portuguese - some music is played.  There is some sort of ID at the top of the hour (900z) but I don't understand it.

Short-wave.info lists three very low powered (1-5 watts) stations, all Portuguese language located from Brazil to an Atlantic Island.  The three stations are Radio Maria, Radio Difusora Arceanna, and Radio Clube do Para.  I have had no luck picking up their web broadcasts.  I'm thinking it is not Radio Maria, doesn't seem to have a religious tone.

I've heard this one on and off for years. Our Brazilian poster Daniel might be some help on it.

One thing I take into account when going after stations in far eastern Brazil, is the same heading can take you to Angola, where Portuguese is an official language and used heavily in external broadcasting. It's nothing but salt water from Angola to CT.

One last thing, there are a couple of groups of islands off of Brazil in the Atlantic where they keep meteorological and small naval installations. It could be a little entertainment for them before shutting down on 60 meters for the daylight hours.

I agree with Mr. Pigmeat, Daniel might be able to help. If you don't have a recording already, try to get one the next time you hear it, post it in the ID requests section, and maybe ping Daniel with a private message. (His last name is something like Wyllans, that's not it exactly, but he's on the member list under his own given name.)

Thanks for all the hints and info.  I picked them up at 2300z with good reception.  OM sounds  like he is doing play by play of soccer match.  I found a stream of Radio Clube do Para and it matched.  Much appreciated comments, MDK2 and Pigmeat!
