Radio GaGa 6925 USB 2347 UTC 27 Oct. 2018
« on: October 27, 2018, 2348 UTC »
Not sure who this is playing music now, but it sounds different from WFDR, which was audible here until about 40 minutes ago.

Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush," then Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," then I missed an ID, then a song I didn't recognize ...

Now, at 0005 UTC, Queen's "Radio GaGa," which I'm going to take as a clue to who this is.

Ah, you're right: That IS Neil Young. I mistook his voice for a female singer until the signal strengthened here a moment ago.

Receiving on the west coast of Canada with a weak signal. Music playing but don't recognize the tune as of 2353Z. Receiving on a Yaesu FT-2000 and G5RV antenna.

Tuned in at 2358utc, I got nothing but the usual low noise level for this time of year.
Drake R8, Kenwood R-2000, Panasonic RF-4900, Sony 2010, Realistic DX440, Grundig Satellit 500, 7mhz backyard dipole, Mt Prospect, IL 20miles (32km) NW of downtown Chicago. I have been using online receivers because of strong data hash interference in my neighborhood that I believe is caused by Uverse squeezing up to 100mb/sec through ordinary pairs of wires. I don't have Uverse but neighbors do. williamhassig@yahoo.com

0019 just tuning in, fair signal here in Colorado, QRM from wide noise presumed to be a radar of some sort.
