Wall to wall QRN on the beacon band this morning.  Static crashes from line of T-storms through Louisiana
permitting just the strongest NDBs to be heard.  Although did manage to pull 380 BBD Brady TX through the din... don't hear that one at this QTH too often.

RE. your logging of TWL-263...it is now at the Johnston County Airport
at Smithfield, NC. TWL was at Monroe, NC. It replaces JN. TWL was
well over S-9 this morning. I am probably about 15 miles from this

The LW propagation the past couple of weeks seems rather poor for Winter.

Props have been mediocre in general, with a few moments of good opening when the DST is changing.  Storm noise from the south has made things difficult to say the least.  We need a good Polar Vortex to flush all these nasties away.

AZ 371 noted back on after an absence.  Also noting HB 328 back on the air for my 13th GRL
for the season.  There is one more active GRL (QQ 336 Qaanaaq) lurking out there, but this will require
great conditions to copy.  Gotta cupla of tentative captures, but not enough to claim it.

Well, the jet stream has pulled that polar vortex down here.  Temps may not get above 0 next couple of days.  Just took a short walk, didn't think a southwest wind could feel so cold.
However, presently looks like no lightning hits anywhere in the country.

Anyway, have you ever logged 200 YAQ or 201 YVZ in ON ?  AFAIK YAQ may be off the air.  201 YVZ Deer Lake has been impossible to copy here because of the competition from YKX and ZXU (both of those are also Ontario beacons on the same freq).
Need to log YAQ and YVZ for "worked all Ontario".

I have logged YVZ this season.  Tight filter or SDR helps.  YAQ was last logged April 2018, and is possibly a goner.
