Radio Nacional Amazonia ?
« on: December 13, 2018, 2255 UTC »
6180 khz @ 22:46 13 Dec 18  UTC (16:46 CST local) in what I believe was Portuguese or Spanish..  Strange signal.... coming in at SINPO: 5-5-4-4-4 at 22:46 song with male vocals.  Lost signal abruptly and completely at 22:47.   Resumed again at same SINPO @ 22:49 with more music then lost signal just as abruptly and completely at 22:50.    Back on with male announcer at 22:54 with no station ID.   Schedules state Amazonia but quality of broadcast suggests RHC. Crashed again or QRT'd at 22:57

I have heard Amazonia go off abruptly at times, especially when it was on 11780 kHz.

But China Radio International uses Cuba's transmitters on 6180 kHz. I wonder if maybe RHC was using that frequency off-schedule for some reason; it would not be the first time RHC messed something up on one of its frequencies.

Interesting.    There WAS something buried way underneath in an Asian dialect.
