MASSIVE signal 6.960USB It's XFM shortwave
« on: September 03, 2011, 0351 UTC »
Have a killer signal, electronic dance music, robot like voice on USB 6.960. Unusual frequency. Heard a strong I.D. between/among the songs but with the voice it was hard to copy.

UPDATE!!! It's XFM Shortwave. Clear  OM I.D. talking about being on for Memorial day.

9/3/11, 6960 USB, 0430z: Just tuned in, caught end of Collective Soul "Why", XFM ID, anncr intro for listener request song; Foo Fighters "Learn to Fly".
0439z: Anncr ID, said earlier request was from Andrew Yoder.
0442z: Playing Incubus per Zane's request.
0450z: Sounds like anncr said this tune is Delphic "Doubt" - don't recognize song but anncr chatter good enough to copy fairly clearly.  Then Good Charlotte "Anthem"
0500z: Psychedelic Furs "Love My Way"
0504z: Sounded like Dead Kennedys, can't recall song title.  Anncr said "To drunk to dot dot dot".
0509z: Hey, it's Fansome's favorite song!  Romeo Void "Never Say Never".  Luv dat Deborah Iyall's attitude.
0515z: Is it Smiths "How Soon Is Now" or is it Soho "Hippy Chick"... ah, it's Smiths.  That intro leaves ya hanging.  How Soon Is Hippy Chick.
0535z: Plasmatics per request.  WOW.
0544z: Sounds like Violent Femmes.  Never owned any of their records, but they have a distinctive sound.
0558z: Handing the reins over the The Professor - stoner rock?  Chamber Brothers "Time Has Come Today"

SINPO=43434, excellent signal and audio, minor local RFI.

0610z: Golden Earring "Radar Love", more roller coaster fades to barely audible, still some good peaks.
0647z: Still just audible but waaay down in the mud past 30 minutes.

Great show, thanks!

eQSL received, thanks!
