Very good reception in Oakland, CA.  PL-880 using its wire antenna.

1105 Two OM in Japanese with fast paced discussion, by tone probably debating viewpoints.

You're in Oakland? Cool. I'll be in Seattle later this summer, bringing the PL-600 and some wire. I get this station every morning at my QTH, but sadly I think they ended their 31m transmissions so it will be absent most mornings unless I get up before 5:00am local time.

Enough from you, Spurs supporter    ;).  Yes, I have a married son here and the Abu Dhabi working one flew in.  Nice change of pace for dxing.  No pirates but I’m working with packable gear.  I did hear something I could not ID on 6115 from 930-1005 utc (still on eastern time), many foreign language songs (maybe K pop & “Uptown Funk”), any ideas?

Enjoy Seattle, lovely city.  Did the entire Pacific Coast Highway about seven years ago, started with the ferry in Seattle to Port Townsend.  Time for lunch and routing against Liverpool.

6115 was Radio Nikkei 2 most likely. Sounds like they stayed on a little later than normal, usually they're QRT at 1000z on the nose, but they play all kinds of music, more so than Nikkei 1 in my experience.

Sounds nice. I lived in Seattle for 8 years but wasn't into radio at the time. We drove all the way down the coast from Aberdeen WA to San Diego one year. A magnificent trip in the pre-parent years. We're just going back to visit friends, we have no family there. But I'm looking forward to getting out to Discovery Park with the receiver and see how it goes. We're planning on going round the Olympic Peninsula too.

Oh, and COYS :D
