New AOR receiver announced for scanning the aircraft bands.  I expect that it won’t be cheap.  I wonder what market they are targeting this for?

Looks like a simplified version of the AR-DV1,
so it must be priced lower.

Ok now I can justify it when it can do 4 channels at a time compared to the 9000XLT sitting here.

Hmmm, only one antenna input, would be nice to have one each for VHF air, UHF air, and FM.
The fact that it can receive FM broadcast is somewhat worrisome... hopefully there is adequate filtering
to prevent FM desense.  Anyway, would the NOAA WX freqs have been a more useful addition than the FM band ???
(or maybe neither one, sometimes less is more).
Otherwise, really looking forward to the introduction of this receiver... 4 VFOs and one second to scan the
whole VHF band,  wow !

Perhaps the listing should indicate broadcast FM trap filter not included. ;)

I agree about WFM for BCB. It seems like more of an afterthought. I suspect a decently skirted filter or two would take care of desensing concerns; assuming any analog filtering is implemented. ??

NFM support for NOAA and even VHF marine mobile might be more useful IMO. I could imagine those offering more appeal to airband enthusiasts than FM radio.

Might we assume the display as currently presented is for "illustration purposes only?" Admittedly I do not follow much above HF, but I am thinking 208.6MHz probably is very low-power FM or digital for wireless mics and similar instead of an airband allocation.

Looks impressive, however, will wait for some professional to do a full review on its performance first and see what the price ticket dictates. 

Would have been more appealing to me with general coverage reception on VHF rather than segmented bands. ;D
