The frequency caught my eye! Are MW pirates unusual on the east coast?
Is the station far from you or normally difficult to catch?
I think there's a fair number of them, but most are low power. I believe this one is 5 or 10 miles away. I think it runs very close to Part 15 limits, but maybe with slightly more power and a larger antenna than allowed. It's not a powerhouse. I am hearing it right now in fact, SIO 333 or even 444 at times, 1457 UTC 28 Feb 2020, playing 60s music. I'm using the 120 ft T2FD antenna which is why I can hear it at this distance. With the car radio, I cannot hear it here at home, but can when I get a few miles closer to the station.
This station has been on the air for years, I have some older logs of it here on the HFU. I keep hoping the operator stumbles on these logs and sends me a QSL
