X-FM 6925 AM - 0200z
« on: April 27, 2012, 0214 UTC »
X-FM is down in the noise here in NH, peaking S2-S3

0212z B-52's - "Channel Z" (Static in my attic on Channel Z - All static, all day, forever)
0215z Signal level just jumped up to S6
0217z X-FM ID, wants some email requests, etc at: xfmshortwave@gmail.com
0223z "Even If It's Going Wrong"
0226z Request from Louisiana: B-52's - "Private Idaho"
0230z B-52's - "Funplex"
0234z Peaking S7 now - above the noise level, sounding good
0236z Fixx - "Red Skies At Night"
0245z S9 now... nice (and thanks for the shout)
0248z Police - "Can't Stand Losing You"
0250z Devo - "Freedom of Choice"
0255z Cars - "Let the Good Times Roll"
0258z ID, Tried a new mini-form computer... gave up - fat fingers syndrome (same problem here)
0301z Something he heard on "Family Radio" (you know, the "other" Family Radio, WFMT)
0306z "Come on and Get Your ?"
0311z Tim Wilson - "Chucky Cheese Hell"
0313z Peaking S7 now ... bedtime, keep up the good work

Nice to hear you back on, even if it's in the midst of all the static crash-o-rama

I have them under the noise in Northern Canada although the signal appears to be building. I'm hearing a bassy, repetitive kind of techno dance beat but I can't I.D. it. I'm a metal head.
Would be a nice signal if the band wasn't so noisy here.

I've got the carrier and I can hear programming way down in the static...music of some kind at 0231, followed by talk still at 0231, then right back into music.  Lengthy anncr talk heard from 0245-0247, then music at 0248.  More anncr talk at 0258, then back into music at 0301.

Doing pretty well here in Massachusetts at 0253, female vocal group... S-9 or so.
this is not my genre of music, lol.  Talking about buying a computer keyboard that was too small and returned it, trackball mice.
ID 0301 "This is X-FM, The Power Of X". Nice modulation, signal improving here.

Really nice signal here in the Mojave Desert of California, most of the time about 10 over S9.  Nice wide and clean audio.  Transmitter bandwidth is a little over 22 kHz, audio bandwidth exceeds 10 kHz, probably closer to 12 kHz.

T!

(Edit)  Shout out to several, including me at about 0349 UTC.  XFM, I will upload a sample of the audio to my YouTube channel sometime.
