Rave On Radio - 6925u 0100z
« on: May 19, 2012, 0109 UTC »
Rave On Radio down in the steady S7-S8 static here tonight but strong enough for me to get the ID and recognize the Allman Brothers tunes.

0105z "Trouble No More"
0109z  Rave On ID
0110z "Don't Keep Me Wondering"
0113z "One Way Out"

0114z Second station on 6925 AM, Ten Years After "I'd Love to Change the World" - much stronger than Rave On

0118z Rave On ID, second station gone...
0123z "Stormy Monday"

0128z Second station again with short test on 6925 AM, bird calls
0132z Station #2 back on 6925 AM with Janis Joplin S9+10 and off

0133z Rave On SSTV, too much static to copy

Just booted up the receiver and heard a "Rave On Radio" ID and then into the Allman Bros.  About S5-S6 here, noise doesn't seem too bad right now.

The AM signal is strong in GA. Modulation is clean but shallow.

S7 to S9 signal here on the east coast.
SINPO 44434 with a little fading at 0114 UTC. Overall good copy.
Song by "10 years after".
Now music back down. Was nice and strong.
There is still something down there in the noise.

S8, good signal

On at 0101 with Allman Brothers - "Statesboro Blues" and others

0114 ABB - "One Way Out" -- an AM station has come on with 10YA - "I'd Love to Change the World"
0118 ID, 2nd stn now off, ABB - "Done Somebody Wrong", "Stormy Monday"
0127 Heard a few seconds of the Radio RSA Bird Chirp and Joplin tune during "Stormy Monday"
0133 SSTV - did not decode here...

Thanks Rave On!

SDR recording catch, S6 signal here. Another station in AM came over top several times, obliterating Rave on Radio.

Recorder catch:

6925 USB 222-322

Weak to fair signal with slight fade staying just above the noise for the most part.  Similar details as others - also noted the strong carrier that came off & on followed by 10 Years After, bird calls, & Janice Joplin from UNID station(s).

01:00z-01:35z Rave On Radio show
