thanks everyone, i appreciate the reports and the help (and Skipmuck's recording, i can hear the ever so slight 120Hz "hum" due to a failing high voltage oil capacitor in my Henry 3K-A amplifier, its barely noticeable at this time but eventually its going to completely fail).
tonight's broadcast was a "burn test" at 100 watts, thats "baby'ing" the Henry for what it can deliver in AM output 😄.
this broadcast station comprises of a 'Great Scott Gadgets' "Hack RF One", control software "SDR Angel", a TX pre-amp module with a band-selectable LPF removed from a Yaesu FT-757GX2 (10W out) and that drives a Henry 3K-A (100W out) with a half-wave horizontal dipole 30 feet above average terrain in the clear open, broadcasting with audio response 20hz to 10Khz (20Khz total AM bandwidth).
it took me some time to get everything tuned, aligned and back in proper working order after not being on the air for nearly a year (about ten months), everything was out of whack and mis-aligned 😜.
I'm looking forward to relaying someone's Halloween's broadcast this Saturday.
have a great week ahead and be safe.
TRS.
