XESURF 540 AM 0435 UTC Nov. 3 2020
« on: November 05, 2020, 0515 UTC »
As I listened to CBK from Saskatchewan on this frequency, music began fading up at 0435 UTC and was equal to CBK by 0437 UTC, with contemporary Christian music in Spanish that matched XESURF’s online stream when I checked. The contemporary Christian music stayed equal to or, at times, above CBK until fading back down around 0447 UTC. It still was audible in the background, however. This station plays a “Radio Zion” format; distance from me (Tijuana to north of Seattle) is 1,103 miles.

One mystery: What is the nighttime transmitting power for this one? I've seen it listed as anywhere from 100 to 3,500 watts at night!

I guess I'll believe that. I found a radiodiscussions.com thread out of San Diego saying they suspect it's running more power at night than that, but no hard proof.
