Announcement: Harmony 5780kHz
« on: February 27, 2021, 1046 UTC »
Harmony will be closing down our shortwave transmitter today, Saturday 27 Feb 2021, for the foreseeable future.

This is due to relocation.

We hope to reappear on air sometime within the next few months, but nothing is certain yet.

Until then, we'd like to thank you all for listening and logging Harmony. We hope the signals have been interesting, and the music nice!

Best 73 to all on here.

The Harmony team.

In my location, the signal was low but quite stable.
You served me as an indicator of in-band propagation conditions. The canal was frequently disturbed by utility stations. Maybe it's worth looking for a new FRQ by the way?
Thank you for your interesting music!
I wish you a quick return to work, hoping to improve reception ;D

I will miss hearing you on 5780 Harmony! Although reception across the pond has been lackluster over the last several months, I did have some fair to good receptions directly during the hour before local sunset! I am hearing your signal now but it is mostly threshold audio. I look forward to your return at some time in the future! Good luck and thank you for the music and the QSL's too!

Now hearing you directly with signal fading in and out of the noise
2211 UTC "Ammazzate Oh!"-Luciano Rossi (Per Shazam, of course!)
2221 UTC ID "This is Harmony"  :)
2228 UTC "Lullaby of Broadway"-Dick Powell
2234 UTC "Chittlins Con Carne"-Jimmy Smith Trio (Nice S5 peak during this song in an otherwise dismal day of European propagation!)
2240 UTC "Unforgettable"-Dinah Washington
2242 UTC OM with ID, into "For All We Know"-Matt Monro
2251 UTC "Softly As In A Morning Sunrise"-Mario Lanza
2255 UTC "I Want a Little Girl"-Louis Armstrong
2257 UTC "Take Good Care of My Baby"-Bobby Vee
2300 UTC "Chanson D'Amour"-Manhattan Transfer
(Signal peak has passed with the grey line here....good to hear you one last time Harmony!)

Good luck on your relocation and I will keep an ear or two open for your return!  :)

Sorry to see you go QRT, I always enjoyed receiving your station. It was also an excellent "beacon" to gauge how good propagation was.
