Possibly Toynbee Radio 12 Aug 2012 6925 AM 0505 UTC
« on: August 14, 2012, 2113 UTC »
I think this was Toynbee, based on a tip that he was on 3 times this date I checked my SDR recording files.

Came on with OM saying (I think, hard to tell) "Hello, I am taking channel control" then into some hard rock music? Sounded like the same OM at the end, after the music, but hard to tell. Off 0510z.

I went back through my files and found this recording from 03:43z-03:52z,  I also had an AM station around the 05:10z time frame, but had no discernable audio and didn't save it. This one does match Chris's description with the "...I am taking channel control..." part.  I never got a positive ID.  Thanks to JF for heads up! :)

6925 AM SIO 322 08-12-12

03:43z carrier on
03:44z can barely hear music
03:46z "...I am taking channel control..." and into unknown song
03:49z "...robots..." & other talk, but can't make it out
03:52z unknown song

Interesting, Sealord, I had something around the 0343-0352 time also, but could not make out any details. I'll have to check it again.

I heard it after 0500, too. Signal was pretty good here...I think about 6925.7 kHz AM. I had just hit Save on an audio file on my older computer that I use as a recorder & it took about 5 min to save the file. By the time I could hit Record, Toynbee Radio was gone.

Thanks for the transmission!
Andrew
