6930.3 AM Radio Free Manitoba via Northern Relay Service
« on: August 31, 2012, 0120 UTC »
0117Z fairly strong AM signal playing Radio True North's theme music coming in about S4 on the west coast
0125Z some voice ID's sounds like a relay of Radio Free America
averaging S4 on the FT-2000
After some careful listening, it sounds like this might be Radio Free Manitoba being relayed by Northern Relay Service
0137Z very clear voice ID...definitely Radio Free Manitoba
some sort of discussion going on between 2 males...lots of fading making it a bit difficult to understand
0200Z voice ID's and a shoutout to me. QSL through Northern Relay Service... nrsshortwave at gmail dot com
Thanks NRS for the show!!
Radio Free Manitoba relay ended at 0200Z but Northern Relay Service is still on playing music...got some strange sound effects going on at the moment
0216....looks like some more Radio Free Manitoba...gotta go..work, thanks again for the show...BOR

Had a good S-6 signal here with lots of band noise. Always great to hear on old friend!
Please QSL to MaplRadio@gmail.com

Next weeks contest: guess how many Volkswagons can fit in Joy Behars mouth. I pick five.

If Rosie O'Donnell jumps in the water Rosie doesn't get wet, the water gets ugly.

SDR catch - extremely weak at first, slowly improving until about 0230z but still not terribly strong compared to the noise levels, then started to get weaker again. Off 0253z
