QSO's mostly from Catskills Mtns in NY to mid-west; OH, IL, MI, WI, IA, WY
S 2-4 with great audio. Signal is as good on the MLA then on the discone.
First experience with 10M FM.
29.600 and 29.640 also, with weaker signals. Listening since 2230 utc.
The notch filter does not seem to work well on 10M.....
0033 29.640 London, Ontario, NY state on MLA 30

Heard that 29.620/R- machine several times now on the indoor scanner, with just the telescopic whip on the back of it. Usually, the Dallas, TX machine on 29.660/R- comes in on that scanner, but not this year, apparently.
“I am often asked how radio works. Well, you see, wire telegraphy
is like a very long cat. You yank his tail in New York and he
meows in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? Now, radio is
exactly the same, except that there is no cat.”
-Attributed to Albert Einstein, but I ripped it from the latest Splatter .PDF March 2025 issue.
