A buddy of mine had some "Clapper" like circuits he built between his TV, the lamps, his stereo, and their power outlets. (This would have been about '79) He'd wait until everyone was naked , then snap his fingers while yelling at his cat and it was lights outs. People would be absolutely spooked! I saw guys go running up the stairs when he would do it.  Then he'd snap his fingers blame the cat and the lights were on. It was freakin' hilarious.

I love analogue TV also!!

Channels 2-6 skipping in every morning... To me the picture looked better (Not flat and lifeless like we have now) and it sounded better also!!

I dont like watching GOOD shows from the analogue era in this flat digitrash to be honest with everyone!!

I would rather watch nothing than see Leave it to beaver that way.. TOTALLY DISGUSTING!!

I love my VCR where I can enjoy alot of things the way I love seeing them...

I remember when I was a teenager (30+ years ago)... if we started picking up TV signals from Joplin, MO (180 miles away) in the afternoon during spring, that meant more than likely we were getting ready to have tornadic weather. Inevitably, the sirens would sound.

I'm still not sure what method of propagation was allowing that signal to travel that far...  the frontal boundary alone? Or perhaps a large, nearby hail core in a supercell storm?
