WELD 690 AM 0015 UTC 5 NOV 2021 - Fisher, WV

Excellent reception.  About 450 miles from my QTH, 500 watts at this "critical hour" transmission time.  In vain, I was searching for the Jet/Colt game on the radio.  Neither team has a Class A Clear Channel frequency and none of the Westwood 1 network stations were carrying. In the past, TSN stations have carried football to I gave Montreal's English Language CKGM 690 AM a try.  Much to my surprise, oldies music was playing.  At first I thought it was WADS in nearby Ansonia, CT staying on way past daytime hours, then I heard the ID.

A few minutes later, fade out to CKGM's coverage of the Montreal Canadiens and New York Islanders.  I'm figuring WELD dropped down from critical hour power to night time power of 14 watts.
