Excellent reception, English service.  New transmission added as of February 24 directed toward Ukraine (have not seen azimuth on it yet) from Woofferton.  This is being received here better than any other frequency I receive the BBC. I believe broadcast is until 1600 utc.

1401 YL with several stories on Ukraine/Russia war
1403 China's reactions to sanctions on Russia
1405 Champions League Final moved from St. Petersburg, Russia to Paris - my choice was Manchester . (Personally, I believe they should sanction the Gazprom owned Chelsea squad )
1407 Lengthy reporting on events between Russia/Ukraine.  News reports from multiple sources in the field including NY Times.
1409 BBC Reporter in Ukraine "It's too quiet"
1412 BBC Reporter talking about Zelensky's thoughts on invasion
1438 After 38 minutes of near perfect reception, suddenly off mid-sentence as if technical or international shutdown matter.
1440 Two minutes of white noise ends, broadcasts returns to near perfect reception.  OM in studio interviewing OM on phone in Ukraine.

1534 OM host interviewing Ukranian OM on phone, talking about travel restrictions for men under 60 out of country

Armchair copy here in western Virginia at 1430 UTC 26 Feb on Grundig Yachtboy 400 using just telescopic whip SINPO 4433. Booming on on Grundig Satellit 800 with longwire 54333.  Best I've heard the BBC on shortwave for many years. Wonder if they are increasing broadcasts in Ukrainian?

On Sunday 2/27 I had a fair signal, SIO 233, until sign off just before 1600 UTC.

Yea, today my reception on this frequency was the worst since they started a few days ago.  Still better than 90% of the reception on other BBC broadcasts.

Monday 2/28, 1515 UTC - about SIO 243 (low noise + low signal = middling rx). I usually get either 6195 or 7285 kHz at 0500 UTC better, but given that this one's in Issoudun beamed to Eastern Europe, not bad at all.

Well if the BBC is transmitting war news via shortwave like it is the 1930's, I can accommodate and listen like it is the 1930's.  I usually listen to music broadcasts with excellent reception on the 1937 Zenith Console 8S154, like MRI's yesterday.  But the BBC just booms in begging to be received on an old tube set.

The BBC was granted a rare special access to an AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) flight along the border of Poland. Will need to find a video feed of the BBC World Service to see this.
