KPR "Rock the Rockies" 6925 USB
« on: April 07, 2009, 0758 UTC »
4/7/09, 6925 USB, KPR, music & ID's, approx. 0100-0145 UTC, SINPO - 22432 (N. Central TX)

0101z: Tune up sounds
0103z: Clear KPR ID w/ laughter and slogan that sounds like "As we rock the Rockies"
After opening ID signal quickly dropped into noise but occasionally came through clearly enough to copy some material.
0105z: Sounds like Amy Winehouse, not sure because pitch was off slightly while recording mp3. Sounds like my VFO was off a few Hz.

Other songs, IDs, times not noted:
Bill Withers "Just the Two of Us"
Billie Holiday "Stormy Weather"
KPR ID with commentary by OM (op's voice?)
Live version of song I couldn't ID
Santana "Evil Ways"
New Orleans jazz instrumental version of "Amazing Grace"
KPR ID w/ "Rock the Rockies" slogan, off approx. 0145 UTC

SINPO - 22432.
Audio a bit thin but closer to 6925 kHz than previous shows that were between 6923-6924 USB. Signal remained fairly steady at moderate-low strength, strong enough to copy familiar songs, not quite strong enough to accurately copy unfamiliar lyrics or op's commentary. Fairly low QRN (lots of the usual QRM here from intermittent bursts of S9 static for 15-20 seconds every 60 seconds due to parking lot light cycling).
