Huh... The last time that I'd hear about shortwave news on mainstream TV media news would be when a president would do his weekly radio address on VOA. So, this is rare to see.  https://swling.com/blog/2022/05/cbs-features-wrmis-ukraine-war-news-over-shortwave/#respond
The best two statements of advice that I've ever gotten are from my brother-in-law in the early 1990's. 1st one, when I bought a used '89 Olds Cutless, my bro-in-law said, "Congratulations!!! You've just bought a deficit!". The other, was on a work environment, " No matter where you go, it's going to be f***'ed -up!". No truer words have been spoken.

The first picture they show behind the news announcer is of small segment of the front console of a Kenwood R-2000. A production assistant probably googled "shortwave radio" and picked an arbitrary picture!
All reception direct-- From my location, radio and antenna.
QTH New Hampshire (70 miles north of Boston).
Tecsun S-8800 and Kenwood R-2000, with about 135 feet of wire thrown up in the trees.
eQSLs most appreciated to [email protected].

Got to do something when the higher up's are expecting something you know nothing about.

Did they mention anything about the penguins roosting on the antennas?
