22 Meter Band HiFER Beacons / D 13527.7 CW 2100 UTC 04 AUG 2022

D 13527.7 kHz CW 21:00 UTC 04 AUGUST 2022

21:00 UTC - My first logging of a beacon in this band. The beacon is transmitting the letter "D". Weak but readable at an S3;
21:30 UTC - Now peaking S4 at times;
00:00 UTC - Still a descent S3 ~ S4 signal.



Some of the references I found on the HFU for this beacon are at the links provided below and all elude that beacon "D is from Odessa, Ukraine" or more recently from Sevastopol, Ukraine.

00:57 UTC - BallSmacker Radio carrier is up; S9 ~ +10; 8 kHz wide;
00:58 UTC - Interval signal;
01:00 UTC - Broadcast begins;
02:42 UTC - SSTV;
02:44 UTC - Interval signal;
02:45 UTC - End of broadcast;
03:08 UTC - Carrier off.

Thank you for the show. Conditions were good and that new transmitter sounded good tonight at 8 kHz. Very low noise.

20:30 UTC - UNID with 16 kHz wideband data showed up on 11171.0 kHz (centre) at approx 20:30 UTC. UNID is causing interference to the HFGCS frequency of 11175.0 kHz;
21:10 UTC - UNID signal is persevering;
21:30 UTC - UNID went off the air.

The UNID sound like one of those High Frequency Trader stations.
