A minute or so of OM voice and music at 2040, hard to decipher, now seems to be gone at 2041. Carrier was up on this freq for 5-10 minutes prior.

I have it on 6971.9.

Music deep in the noise, can barely make it out...

Finally had a chance to upload my off-air recording of this broadcast from yesterday. It's about 5 hours and 16 minutes long, from 1744 UTC to sign-off at 2300:

Thanks again for the marathon broadcast and for re-transmitting these classic tapes from your archive, PJ Sparks!

I thought I'd transcribe the brief history of WREC heard a little after 2200 UTC because I found it interesting:

You are tuned to Radio Free East Coast’s fifth anniversary program. This is your host, PJ Sparks. If this is the first time you’re hearing WREC, or for you veteran listeners who are curious about how WREC got started, here is some background information on my station. WREC’s first test broadcast was way back on September 28, 1992 at 0012 UTC on the frequency of 7415 kHz. WREC continued testing on or around 7415 until early October of 1992 when the Johnson Viking II transmitter broke down. While the transmitter was being repaired, the North American Pirate Relay Service was kind enough to air a couple of WREC programs during January and February of 1993. After making final transmitter repairs and an antenna adjustment, the Viking II rig was finally back on the air in March and Radio Free East Coast’s first program was broadcast on March 13, 1993 at 0036 UTC on 7417 kHz. Since then, Radio Free East Coast has been active relaying numerous other pirate stations as well as WREC programming. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the listeners who voted for WREC as the best pirate station of 1997. Your support of Radio Free East Coast is very much appreciated. I hope you enjoy this fifth anniversary program.

Still going strong here at 1830 UTC. Signal strength is S7 here, fairly low noise, about 3kHz wide.

Been listening for about an hour. Heard the Belfast maildrop address at 1835. Show probably circa 1996-1998 based on Pamela Anderson Baywatch references and playlist.

Thanks for the broadcast.

0058 Brief bursts of music. Barenaked Ladies, "Testing 1, 2, 3, Can anybody hear me?" interval signal.

I can hear you.  8)

S9+10, signal strong and clear.

0130 Noise level coming up fast now, becoming harder to hear. Signal mostly lost in the noise here after Joni Mitchell, "Big Yellow Taxi."

My off-air recording of the first 32 minutes:
