Very strong signal here this afternoon ... but unfortunately heavy bandsplatter of some kind both above and below 6985 are making it hard to listen to. If it were not for that, The Vault would sound great here tonight.

Good signal - S5 - but also lots of static here, so sounds weak - music is clear enough to ID but voice is tough to copy

Back in 2015 I received a reply from Edmund Fitzgerald Radio that included an eQSL, the lyrics to one of the songs played "Shoals of Caribou" by Russell R. Scott, AND a studio copy of the show. If the op is still around somewhere, I hope you don't mind me posting a link to that studio copy.  The audio is crystal clear and every bit as chilling as when I heard it via shortwave.

That was my first thought when I heard it some time ago, too. But today I very clearly heard a station ID and frequency. WPTI is in upcountry North Carolina, 100K watts.
