The RF Workbench / Components to have on hand ?
« on: August 19, 2013, 1601 UTC »
I thought it might be useful to have a thread about what sorts of parts are good to have on hand, as well as sources for buying them, especially at good prices?

I tend to gravitate to Mouser for most of my general purpose parts, as they have a good selection, and are quick to ship. I also use Jameco from time to time, there are certain parts that they have very good prices on.

SDR recording catch. A very weak carrier appeared around 0152, that got stronger over time. Some music starting around 0201.
An S9 signal according to the S meter, but it "didn't sound that strong", if you know what I mean.
The signal came up a bit around 0214, it looked like a step change, so it seems to be more something on the transmitter side than propagation.

Off at 0346.

SDR recording catch, carrier on and off a few times, then on at 0143 with Dr Benway and an ID.

Quite strong, S9+20.
