SDR recording catch. A very faint carrier noted perhaps as early as 1150z.
Carrier for sure by 1200z, but not even S1.
Some audio by 1205.
Started to improve at 1210z.
S7 at 1212z.
S9 by 1213z.

Off at 1226z, thanks for the show PRB!

We ought to go Al. Those guys love us.

You could give a lecture on advances in tinfoil hat technology while I man the the overhead projector.

Not to mention the evils of SDRs.

General Radio Discussion / Re: CFRX Status
« on: December 22, 2013, 1438 UTC »
Another update regarding CFRX:

Quote
Some sort of component issues.  If Bell Media are keen on keeping CFRX going, the whole transmitter will be sent back to the builders of the transmitter ( Armstrong Transmitters) in New York state and get it working properly.  This is the second time this year the fairly new transmitter has been down.

It's wait and see right now.  There are other bigger technical issues the station is facing with the recent takeover, the main one being a complete move from the present location to another spot in downtown Toronto.  Bell Media like having all their stations under one roof, so that will take any time away from CFRX issue.
