I can hear the heterodyne of the AM carrier while on SSB.  Every once and a while I detect audio on AM.

I did not fire up the computer to look at the SSTV.  Thanks for the Apres definition, I am no longer wondering. 

If the station in question was Wolverine, then, the broadcast was done by a different radio/antenna/mixer/power level.  The bandwidth and power was markedly different between the two by a huge factor.  The two were night and day apart on the pandapter.  Transmitters have fingerprints too.  By design or not? 

In the end, I enjoy all aspects of radio including listening to pirates.  That's why I stop here.  In fact, tonight, I wore a Undercover Radio T-shirt at a well attended ham radio event in which I worked.  The T-shirt did invoke a few QSO's on the subject.

Skip,  Agree!  As I listened last night and watched on the scope clearly these are two different stations. I started a new thread with the UNID and somehow it was merged into this Apres Wolverine thread.
