FM Free Radio / Spanish Station heard in Cinnaminson, NJ on 99.9.

Spanish has been playing on this frequency for the past few days now. Just wondering if anyone else has heard this radio station as well. No RDS or Digital pops up on my receiver.

FM Free Radio / Pirate on 92.9 near Cinnaminson, NJ

This is the 2nd time I have heard something on this frequency this week. It is coming in at a ok signal not full quieting but listenable. It is on 92.9 and no ID or RDS or Digital signal came through in the past 15 minutes listening to it. They keep playing short blocks of Classic Rock tunes. Some good songs too.

FM DX Loggings / Can you use a High Gain Dual band 2m-70cm antenna for FM DX?

Hey guys here I go again for yet.... another question regarding antenna's. Anyways, I was wondering if a High Gain Dual Band Ham radio antenna for 2m-70cm's will work well for receiving on 88- 108 Mhz? I WILL NOT BE TRANSMITTING NOR BROADCASTING on this band, just want to see how wellit will receive on these frequencies. The antenna I am going to be using however for my Ham radio setup is a Diamond X700.

FM DX Loggings / FM DX Antenna help!

I have been looking for a good FM DX antenna for quite sometime now... I used to have a Antrnnacraft FM6 but no longer have it since the damn thing broke on me.... I tried finding another one but of course they are now discontinued. I have a Antennacraft FMSS but eh it is only ok. I was wondering if anyone knew about any good FM DX antennas out there and yes outdoor please.

Hey guys I was wondering what are the best FM DX antenna(s) out there, I unfortunately cannot find the Antennacraft FM6 since it is now discontinued... Does anyone have any other options for a good FM DX antenna? I been looking for a while and well.. Not had much success...

Signal is not too strong here in NJ near the Philly area, but can somewhat understand what kind of music is playing. Sounds like Rock music and kind of Gospelish or something.

MW Loggings / MW antenna ideas

Hey everyone, I get absolute terrible reception on my 10/11 meter antenna (Antron 99) but only on the lower bands in which i know why my antenna is not fitted for these frequencies. But I also get a terrible noise and it does sound like Power Line Noise how do I reduce that noise? (Yes my Radio and Antenna is grounded.) Also, what kind of home brew simple MW antennas can i make to get better reception on the MW band? Yes, I will even consider buying one if there are any.

The radio that i'm using is a Icom 718, my antenna does pretty good on SWL but i know the MW band isn't going to be that great. If anyone could help that would be great.

Spy Numbers / Spy Station on 9.330 AM

Just scanning the bands and i hear a odd humming noise with a very strong signal and then numbers are being said in Spanish, Sinco, Ceis, Quatro, Ceis... Then a creepy humming bell kinda noise goes through. I have no clue where this is coming from and this is my first received Spy Station.

Will a Antenna tuner help with SWL reception?? I hear it will help and then others will tell me it will not help reception. What are anyone's thoughts?? I'm thinking about getting a antenna tuner not just for Ham radio alone but for SWL as well.

All kinds of FM DX stations coming in here in Southern NJ. I mean every FM frequency is in use. This is rare very rare. Picking up stations from Delaware that I usually can't receive at all.

10/11 meters / Different Language QSO'S on 25.845 LSB

Hey guys what's up? I was recently scanning the 10/ 11 meter band well below it actually but I was hearing some talking and decided to tune it in and it just happens to be on LSB. I am not sure what language this is but some of it sounds Chinese or something on the order of that. Most of the time the signals are weak but are audible but sometimes the signals do reach up to S7 but very rarely does it. Can anyone identify what this is?

FM Free Radio / 92.9 Pirate Radio station here in NJ. USA

Seems to be a station on the FM band on 92.9 and they are playing dance music. Sounds like a mix of techno and dance music and some Spanish dance music as well. I am not sure where this is broadcasting from. There is no one talking saying what the station is called or anything. Just non-stop dance music.


    Has anyone else heard this station before??

Equipment / How can i pirate radio on 11 Meters?

I was wondering if there is a way to pirate radio on 11 meters. Such as with a CB radio. Mic to speaker does not sound all that good. I was wondering if there is any possible way to make the quality better. I have looked on youtube about Pirate radio on CB and it sounds pretty good. But I just do not know how these people do it.
