Good signal in high local noise at 1228 with blues

Local noise source stopped, so I'd consider the overall signal VG from about 1240

Received via G8JNJ SDR located in the South West UK.

Frequency: 27845kHz 27840 kHz - 27850 kHz 27.845MHz 27.8475 MHz 27.848 MHz (offset) 27847.5 kHz 27847kHz sounds like POCSAG (narrowband anyway).  Similar to the signals heard on the (mostly) 26 MHz paging frequencies, some of which are active.  Band opening to Europe (including European Russia).

It didn't seem like Sky AI was beaconing on its normal 5 min interval yesterday. I though it was conditions but the rest of the band stayed pretty active. Been hearing a lot of EU stations on 27365u calling.

Shortwave Broadcast / Re: Radio Theater?
« Last post by Ct Yankee on October 21, 2026, 1044 UTC »
On WBCQ 7490, Sundays at 6pm Eastern (WBCQ does not adhere to firm UTC times when clocks change, which is soon) there is Tom Call Theatre.

That happens to bleed into one of my favorite programs, Le Show with Harry Shearer, at 7pm eastern on same frequency.
I know I've heard others but don't recall when, nor on what station/frequency.
