77LJS 6930 USB 2027 UTC 25 JUL 2023
« on: July 25, 2023, 2027 UTC »
Good reception some noise, just before storms due to arrive here.
2027 Instrumental music, has varied.  Some sounds like soundtrack from western/old film.
2030 Unid classical instrumental
2032 Vibraphone/harp solo now?
2033 OM "Good afternoon, you are listening to 77 Lima Juliet Sierra"  OM talking about just played tune.  Catching most of conversation, lengthy, but some noise
2036 Unid Military March tune?  not clear enough for shazam.
2039 OM talking again but competing with noise, a strain to decipher
2040 Classic medley featuring "Yankee Doodle" and "I Wish I Was In Dixie"
2042 "Stars & Stripes Forever" march, I think
2045 OM with ID, "thank you for joining me...."
2046 OTA

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using an SDRPlay RSP1A for SWL with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet. Kenwood TS-570D for ham use.

20:45 UTC - Weak barely readable. The band is very noisy and I had to use the wideband noise reduction DSP on the SDR which removes appox 10 dB of noise to pull the signal in.
