S7.  Opened with whistling, Story about a young woman going to meet her only living relative - a decrepit uncle ... part way through story an announcer said, "It's the cast of Triple X", then off at 0144.

On listening to the recording, just after the whistling, a OM said, "I'm the whistler" and music intro. into the story.

Only fragments making over here OM & YL - wondered what on earth it was that I was listening to, and that in itself was entertaining ... Nice try, thanks Guys.

A good signal here on the SDR recording. I heard the end as "This has been a test of Triple X"?

I had this too, though I missed the testing idents in the middle.  This was an episode of The Whistler, but it was the stand-in Whistler actor who took the post while Bill Foreman was presumably away in the service during the war.  The stand-in does not hold a *candle*.  Ah-hem!  :P

Good signal on the isthmus, anyway.
