* These stations don't broadcast anymore because of the transition made by the Mexican Government that says: "An AM radio station must have a combo of the same broadcast in FM, and after a one year period the owner of the concession or permit must return the AM frequency to the Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones".

^ This station (XEDA) doesn't broadcast anymore due to an owner's decision. They decided this action citing low ratings, low advertising rate, low sound quality, lack of maintenance of the transmitter and also citing that nowadays too many people don't listen to the medium wave (AM) radio band because many new receivers, like cell phones, only tune to FM radio.

Hey M,

Great list. I think that AM radio dx is probably more fun the further  South that you go  away from the U.S. MY "problem" was that I kept getting the same dx over may years, even on the dx crystal radio.Same Cubans, same US, same Canadians.I wasn't too much for the higher crowded frequencies. I hunted the "Clear" and protected channels.I had LOTS of fun for MANY, MANY years doing it.  Also , not much music on US AM now - all talk. FWIW, mi esp. es Peruana.
