Neacp/tacamo/glass flight burning mux on 362.25MHz 1510Z 22Jul17.
New freq, strong sig with ssb voice on orderwire alpha, must be close.

A hint on catching these guys is to use am mode. The main carrier is at the center of the working freq and will always stop the scanner in am mode on this signal. If you scan with wide or narrow fm the scanner will typically blow right past the sig on a default squelch setting. Once you find the sig, lock the scanner on freq and then open the squelch so you can try nfm and wfm modes to see what you get. I typically only use am mode however, using slope detection via the am modulator on the wideband (60khz) fm signal thus missing out on most of the signal as most am filters in typical scanners are only some 15 to 30Khz wide, but am allows you to 1) pick up the signal easily even when weak, and 2) to demod the orderwire pair at the carrier of the fm signal. Well, since you're using am and the orderwire voice traffic is always ssb you're listening to ssb with an am demodulator, but you can still follow along with some difficulty. A sdr system will be much more versatile.

And a qsy to 337.3 w/modem traffic @ 1630 22Jul17. However, there may be more than one neacp/tacamo up at a time and one can fade out while the other is still in range, but they usually have about half the country between them in distance.

Neacp/tacamo/glass flight burning mux on 383.55MHz 1440Z 30Jul17.

383.55MHz is interesting in that it's a freq often found in military base trunked repeater systems across the US, however as nbfm mode. It's also a freq in AF1 trunked radio sys that is inherent to the plane. This makes me wonder if some of the bases are also set up as GEP (Ground Entry Point aka a T1 link to the commercial US telecomms network as well as secure US mil networks) for Neacp/tacamo/glass.

AAR ongoing on 336.1MHz 1530Z 01Aug 17.
Multiple pilots in single ac in training, will be using most of the track as far as time length for training.

81: 81 stable ready. (ac in training)
02: 81 clear to contact. (tanker)

02: tanker's coming left.
81: "double keys mic".

02: up three, back two.
02: disconnect.

02: did you guys get a boom engagement light on your end?
81: we didn't see a light, maybe issue on your end?
02: everything looks good here.

02: you're clear astern.
81: clear astern.

02: up three.
81: "double keys mic".

As part of the training the boom operator sometimes orders the pilots around quite a bit, say as in moving them from a few feet to several hundred feet in any axis, disconnects on them without warning, etc etc to train them for contingencies in less than ideal conditions.
