UNID pirate music broadcaster
Frequency: 6925 kHz 6.925 MHz
Mode: AM
Date: 25 August 2017

Have it on two remote receivers and locally (S5 signal on all three!) hearing music but lots of noise at 1750 UTC tune-in....love the daytime music, wish the band wasn't so noisy today.  This is likely the same broadcaster that has come on daily for the past several days, usually starting around 1400-1500 UTC and going for several hours with marathon broadcasts, lots of varied music selection, but no IDs heard by myself or other listeners.

1752 UTC - a deep fade on the Rochester, NY remote, down to S3 with noise swamping the audio at points
1754 UTC - faded back up to S5 for a few seconds, but rapid fading is making copy of music difficult
1755 UTC - as I typed the 1754 UTC entry, the signal came up significantly, up to a nice S7
1758 UTC - another deep fade down into the noise for a second or two, I'm guessing mild geomagnetic disturbance
1800 UTC - Kenny Loggins - Footloose (a bit better than 2-3 minutes ago signal and audio wise)
1801 UTC - nice modulation now visible on the remote SDR waterfalls, solid signals on the peaks of the fades
1804 UTC - Toto - Africa
1813 UTC - Madonna track, fading down to S3 and up to S6, lots of noise but sounding good on peaks as usual
1820 UTC - I can hear music but too noisy to ID at the moment (hopefully just another fade)
1822 UTC - Asia - Heat of the Moment (signal up enough to ID the song but still noisy)
1823 UTC - Huey Lewis and The News - The Heart of Rock & Roll
1842 UTC - Incubus - Drive
1855 UTC - Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge
1901 UTC - Foo Fighters - Learn To Fly, S7 with lots of noise
1903 UTC - Green Day - When I Come Around (great track!)
1904 UTC - data burst ute utility data link QRM 6927 kHz USB
1917 UTC - Tom Petty - Mary Jane's Last Dance
1930 UTC - carrier still there, but noise has overwhelmed the audio, getting bits and pieces of music at 1930 UTC
1937 UTC - hearing some Nirvana (switched to the Rochester, NY remote and the signal is a bit better but still suffering from QRN)
1948 UTC - carrier visible on the waterfalls of the various remotes, but the QRN is making copying the audio difficult
2002 UTC - The Offspring - Self Esteem
2003 UTC - signal up a little bit, still hearing The Offspring...fades down deep into the noise
2005 UTC - Foo Fighters - My Hero
2020 UTC - just have a carrier now, no audio heard
2036 UTC - carrier fading down into the noise, looks like conditions are changing a bit
2037 UTC - signal back up just enough to get bits of music, S2-S3 signal
2049 UTC - beep followed by data burst on the upper side, roughly 6927 kHz USB (same as earlier data bursts)
2050 UTC - Foo Fighters - Everlong
