Good signal on the K1RA SDR in Virginia. Thanks for the show!

0231 over the past hour or so the signal has been slowly building, and is now a solid if fair copy.

Mostly a weak carrier here during several checks over the last 15 minutes....just a few traces of music  :(
2323 UTC Signal picked up nicely! "Wait By the River"-Lord Huron
2328 UTC "Up All Night"-Beck
2331 UTC "Adventure of a Lifetime"-Coldplay (booming in now at S8!)
2336 UTC "Wish I Knew You"-The Revivalists
2341 UTC "Celebrate"-Dirty Heads
2349 UTC "Va Va Va Voom"-Brett Smiley (S9 +10!)
2353 UTC Bells tolling, into German #s station with "Achtung" breaks and RTTY in the background (I believe this was an East German operation)
2358 UTC "High and Low"-Empire of the Sun
0001 UTC "Outside"-Calvin Harris featuring Ellie Goulding
0005 UTC Toasted white bread with four chickens and a coke......hmmm  ;)
0006 UTC "Get Outta My Way"-Kylie Minogue

0027 UTC "Right On Track"-Breakfast Club

Repeat of first image, into some kind of national anthem...presumably the East German one from the old days
Thanks Radio Stasi and thanks Relay Station! Cool show!

Reception good, just started coming through

2340z Unid rock song
2342z "Momma Can U Hear Me" Solomon Childs. Reception now excellent
If you take requests "Va Va Va Voom" by Brett Smiley, I've got a story about him.
2350z "Va Va Va Voom". So, Brett was 2 years my senior when we attended PS 102 in the blue collar Elmhurst section of the Borough of Queens in NYC.  At age 10 (1965), he was Oliver in the Broadway production of "Oliver Twist". A cast mate of his was THE Davy Jones.  He was dropped from the film as an all English cast was wanted.  He had a garage band that was the school band in '67.  A mutual friend of ours thought we should become the band when Brett graduated from PS 102, so we did. Brett finshed schooling in LA.  Went on to try a solo career in music to be a David Bowie-like persona before Bowie hit it big, he was managed by the Stones' manager.  It sounds like there was career/music/personal mishaps along the way.  Oddly, Smiley died within two days of Bowie.  Last I knew if you checked out the book "Oliver Twist" from the Elmhust Library above the title page in ink was written "Brett Smiley is...."   Thanks for the play :)!
0005z OM & YL talking about chicken to music
0017z Excellent reception continues, unfamiliar with songs.
0024z "Were you crying there?"
0030z Count down from 5.
0035z "Venus" Bananarama
0051z National Anthem of East Germany - "Auferstanden aus Ruinen" - Really enjoyed Radio Stasi!
0055z Time pips to VORW

Massive signal, sounds like a local station, peaking at 30db over S9.  Looks like a commercial broadcaster on the waterfall

thanks gentleman !
i hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend !
i did my best to send out confirmation reports based on the time reported in this forum thread (https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,42699.0.html) from 5/19 to everyone i could obtain an email address from, i hope i didnt make any errors since i did each one individually.
for those of you that did not get the confirmation report for 5/19 and wish to have one, you can send me an email at shortwavepirate@aol.com and i will make you one.
tonight's shows will be two "Stasi" shows and one VORW show as requested by the producers who created them, thanks to you !
edit 1: (im not sure how well the SSTV will work through AM due to phase issues caused by fade but i guess we will see)
edit 2: im currently having some slight power issues, line voltage has been dropping below 240VAC, down to 200VAC several times and hovering around 210VAC, seems to be an issue with the 7.2KV supply to the step-down transformer, kind of annoying watching the power fluctuate all over the place on the ACV-RMS needle meter.
edit 3: props and hats off to powerhouse Wolverine Radio ;)
