Total control would be a bad idea, as we all know from a certain movie franchise capitalising on a similar theme.

At issue is the ability not only for ai to be spoofed by an adversary into attacking another adversary, it can create its own artifacts in processing legitimate information its sensors input and view this as an attack, the ghost in the machine if you will. Also, someone left test code in the actual system SAC used to detect missile attack and the testware ran when it was supposed to have been removed, indicating a relatively huge attack coming from the Soviet Onion. After a few moments of panic, other indicators of Soviet Onion attack were cross verified, indicating no inbound nookular meesiles at that time. So they took DEFCON back down to condition beige/hubris instead of condition kyag (kiss your ass goodbye).

I thought the Nuclear Triad was the solution to having second strike capability.....https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_triad
No need for a dead hand when you have Ohio class submarines (boomers) somewhere in the ocean waiting to launch SLBM's.
Location: Western New York ( Niagara Frontier)
Radio :TS480 with RTL-SDR pan-adapter, HDSDR software, Omni-Rig Control, Zenith T/O R600,T600
Antenna: 40m dipole, 20-17-15 meter fan dipole. One of N. Tesla's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production.
Knowledge is a deadly friend when no one sets the rules. The fate of all mankind I see is in the hands of fools - from Epitaph by King Crimson

Desk sized neutrino detectors have made concealing the whereabouts of any nuclear reaction impossible, they zip right thru the earth.

Do you remember what happened when George Costanza's worlds collided? It would be worse than that. Those guys don't bathe or brush their teeth.

The genius of Frank Costanza and his son George was never appreciated in their prime. Too far ahead of their time. Festivus is just now reaching major holiday status.
