4/22/12, 6925 AM, 1200z: Hearing Radio Strange Outpost 7 with RSO7 phonetic IDs, eclectic mixture of music, voice and just plain weirdness in a good way.  S5-S7 over fairly low noise, good audio and wide signal.

A suitably weird pattern in the SDR waterfall from closing of RSO7:

Woke up to an electronic version of obla de obla da on the radio, followed by popcorn.  YL announcer thanking people for their patience, followed by more electronica.

Clear Radio Strange ID around 1215, followed by transmission complete, then off.

Terrible copy, even with this mornings quiet conditions. Very little can be made out. S3 on the meter. SIO 131

Edit: did they come back on around 1220? Heard more electronica (maybe called Rock the Cradle?) then gone again.

Heard that as well = rhythmic guitar or bass with some indecipherable vocals - both at home and via web tuner.  I think it was a different station.  I couldn't copy RSO7 at all at home, but was able to hear the followup unid transmission about as well on both receivers.

Recorder catch:

6925 USB SIO 434

Good signal with little fade - did have some trouble understanding the robotic voice.  I could just barely hear the AM show that was on before the side band transmission.

12:19z-12:24z Radio Strange Outpost 7 usb broadcast.

Audio (complete tx): http://archive.org/download/ShortwavePirateRadioCont/RadioStrangeOutpost76925Usb1219z-1224z04-22-12.mp3

Thanks RSO7! :)
