There's a weather fax signal S9 on 3853 kHz now in the 75 meter ham band. May be DDH3 Hamburg 0n 3855 kHz.   Massive signal.

Signal was good enough here in the middle of the day, so hamburg sounds very likely.

I have this listed as DDH 3, Hamburg Meteo, Hamburg Pinneberg, Germany.

Frequency:  3855.0 kHz and as this is FAX you would tune 1.9 kHz lower from the centre frequency to 3853.1 kHz.

thanks for the tip. 

a bit new with all this setup.  went from a Radio Shack DX398 to sdr.  digital modes and decoding is also a new thing for me.

i'll try again with your suggestions to see how things should look proper.
