Captain Morgan Shortwave QSL policy?
« on: July 04, 2022, 1902 UTC »
Does anyone know if Captain Morgan still QSL’s? I have sent multiple reception reports to captainmorganshortwave@gmail.com and have revived no reply. The most recent eQSL I have found on this forum from Captain Morgan is this one https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,57141.msg199473.html#msg199473  from August 2019. I have heard Captain Morgan give their email address over the air recently so I would think they are still offering QSL’s. Has anyone revived a reply from him recently or know what his policy on QSL’s is?

Songs are identified with Shazam if needed. I usually use KiwiSDR receivers. Reception from my QTH is using an SDRPlay RSP1A for SWL with a 40 meter band Inverted V at 40 feet. Kenwood TS-570D for ham use.

Not sure, but I've sent a few reception reports via email over the last couple of years and haven't yet heard back from the Captain myself.

Ahoy!
MP
All reception from this location, radio and antenna.
QTH New Hampshire (70 miles north of Boston).
Tecsun S-8800 and Kenwood R-2000, with about 135 feet of wire thrown up in the trees.
eQSLs most appreciated to molvaniapoacher@gmail.com.

I rarely sent them out either after awhile. They're a huge PIA.

I did receive a reply after I posted this (he saw it) and he said he would sent a card to my address. I sent him my mailing address and haven't got the card or heard anything from him. Not sure if it was not sent or it got lost in the mail.

I had sent him several new Id-Jingles to replace the older Id's I had created for him
and about a month ago also sent a complete Capt.Morgan program by WeTransfer
but he didn't had download-/or gave a reaction back.....

Maybe he will give some reply('s???) when he's reading this topic!

Don't pester the man. He'll send you something if he gets around to it. Where's WMFQ when it's needed?
